Stake Conference

Yesterday we had stake conference in the De Jong Concert Hall at BYU. It seemed so much fancier than usual and was definitely more comfortable than sitting on a pew. I may have snoozed off for a few moments during the third guy's talk... Whoops! Well, I quickly repented, sat up, and tried much harder to pay attention in those cushy seats. I did well. I was proud of myself. One of the last talks, the Provo Temple President was speaking to the congregation. At one point, he shared some interesting facts. I like facts. He said that daily a stake of 3,000 is baptized! I WHISTLED OUT LOUD! I was so embarrassed that I quickly buried my hands in my face and pretended I didn't exist. If I can't see you, you can't see me.... right? I was impressed, but I didn't mean to tell the whole crowd. I was sitting in the center of a row in the middle of the concert hall and I wished I were still asleep.

  1. Hahaha! Deidra that is pretty funny! I didn't hear you though. I wish I would have.
My favorite part was when a member of the seventy compared the Atonement to the BYU vs. Gonzaga game. Only in Utah...
